Born in Arcadia, Calif., Amy spent her childhood in Claremont, Calif. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego with a bachelor’s in journalism. 

She worked for the university’s newspaper, “The Point Weekly,” for three years, as reporter, section editor and copy editor. 

Amy wrote the weekly Bulletin Board column giving job advice and tips for securing a new career.

Her interests include: playing soccer, kayaking, running, shopping and reading.
